I add custom css by having this in my conf.py:

def setup(app):
app.add_stylesheet('css/custom.css')

Then I have my custom css in:

_static/css/custom.css

Works fine for me.

I am also testing with the complement of sass files etc., but now I seem to have them downloaded in the wrong place? How do I edit them so that I can see my changes in the sphinx html output page?

When editing the sass Mack sure to compile it after. Also make sure that sphinx is using your local copy of the theme and not the pypi installed version.

Thanks Paul,

I know about the custom CSS file and am overriding it this way.

I was trying to change the sass directly, and nothing I was editing seemed to be reflected in the final document, and that made me wonder why it wasn't working.

I'm just going to carry on and apply the overrides in the CSS file, I think.

Thanks for the response!
