Epub file issue in Python and Django docs

Hello,

 

I have been having problems reading the official Python documentation in epub format in a Kobo Libra H2O and after contacting Kobo service, we realize that the file opens badly also in Adobe Digital Editions:

 

Python doc 3.10.0, chapter over PEP 626:

 

These are the exact pages that crash my Kobo device. 

 

The same issue occurs also with the Django web framework documentation:

So this seems to be a Sphinx topic. I looked at the GitHub page issues and didn’t really find a bug that matches this. I hope this message is helpful and you can offer a solution.

Thank you for reporting.

On Apple Books reader, the django document is displayed fine. I'm not sure why the trouble happens in other readers. But I'm not good at EPUB format. So it would be nice if somebody helps us...
