Dear Sphinx developers, dear Takeshi,
Docutils 0.18 has a comprehensive fix for the table "width" and table column
"widths" in LaTeX (SVN commit 8835
"LaTeX writer: New algorithm for table colum widths. Fixes bug #422." ).
Maybe this can be backported to the Sphinx-fork of the LaTeX writer?
