The soundtrack features prominent musical artists from the late 1990s, including Duran Duran, Sneaker Pimps, Orbital, Moby, Fluke, Luscious Jackson, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Daft Punk, David Bowie, Superior, Dreadzone, Duncan Sheik, and Everything but the Girl. I rewatched this movie for the first time in years and it's as good as I remember. While the script is the weakest part of the movie everything else I felt was well handled. I love the cinematography, it has that distinct 90's look. Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue have great chemistry while Rade Serbedzija is a fantastic villain. The music is another aspect I didn't notice when I was younger but really stands out now. The score and soundtrack that accompany are fantastic.

And yet? Still, for all the flaws? Brilliant. This is a beautifully shot, lit and edited film, harnessing locations at their very best (notably Oxford). Kilmer is a more than competent action hero. The score (from Graeme Revell) is divine and the wider soundtrack is basically a greatest hits of the 80s and 90s, including nice numbers from Duran Duran and Sneaker Pimps.

The techno soundtrack is out and has all the tunes from the movie that you could barely hear. It was mostly done to promote the film, but it's a good album if you like techno.

Imagine that.

Our debut album 'All Saints' was released on 24 November 1997 through London Records. The album's debut single 'I Know Where It's At' charted at #4 in the UK with the following three singles 'Never Ever, 'Under The Bridge/Lady Marmalade' and 'Bootie Call' all hitting #1 in the UK.

Behind every great film and television show is a brilliant soundtrack that makes the finished product spectacular and iconic. The soundtrack music has a fundamental place in film and television; it creates the tension, instructs the audience how to feel, and it produces memorable moments that last forever. But how did it gain its place in history?

The soundtrack provides instant recognition of the film. Wherever the audience will later hear that music, they will remember the film, making the film memorable whenever a piece of music is heard on the TV, radio or in other films.

By releasing a soundtrack, the audience can own a piece of the film before it is released on DVD (or VHS back in the day) and be able to listen to music over and over again, remembering their favourite part of the film.

The final entries in Saint Etienne's deluxe reissue series are a 30-song update of the 1996 remix collection Casino Classics featuring Aphex Twin, the Chemical Brothers, Broadcast, and Underworld, and a 2xCD version of Lipslide, singer Sarah Cracknell's 1997 solo debut.

The last two entries in Saint Etienne's four-year deluxe series make for one hell of a victory lap. Casino Classics, an update of a 1996 remix collection, and Lipslide, singer Sarah Cracknell's 1997 solo debut, are both far more than the afterthoughts such phrases might suggest. Each vividly represent Saint Etienne's far-flung interests-- their cosmopolitan, dance-oriented side and their more domestic, Burt Bacharach-leaning side-- though not necessarily the one you might think. Most importantly, diehard Saint Etienne fans who've already picked up all of the other reissues have no reason to stop here, and curious newcomers shouldn't have to feel daunted, either.

Saint Etienne's reissues series wraps up as their stance, consciously or not, appears to be gaining an increasing hold in the indie firmament. Take Elite Gymnastics' James Brooks, who has said he's trying to "rebuild my own canon where Joy Division or Radiohead doesn't matter but Tori Amos or Sarah McLachlan or the Spice Girls or George Michael or Des'ree or the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack do matter." Or the likes of CFCF and LOL Boys, whose recent "Changes" remix together wrings real emotion out of layer after layer of self-consciously "artificial" references. As long as we're talking about dance-informed, left-of-center, sincerely entertaining pop that refuses to kowtow to the cults of authenticity, poe-faced seriousness, or the virtues of difficulty over pleasure, Saint Etienne have to be part of the conversation. Their lesson, as ever (with all the requisite postmodern provisos): Only love can break your heart.

Somebody finally beat The Wiz, the electronics store seen here in a 1998 photo. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1997. P.C. Richard & Son purchased the remnants of the company for $1.8 million in 2003.

With this purpose in mind, it is helpful to mention that Aigen (2005, pp. 23 - 28) differentiates between three approaches to theorizing about music therapy: (1) recontextualized theory explains with concepts from other disciplines, (2) bridging theory uses terms from other disciplines in combination with those specific to music therapy, and (3) indigenous theory is original and specific to music therapy. For Aigen and others, a theory specific to music therapy would be "music-centered". Examples of those working to develop understanding concerning the therapeutic effectiveness of music, whose work informs me: Aigen (2005), Aldridge (1996), Bonny (2002), Bruscia (1987, 1998a), Eagle (1996), Kenny (2006), Nordoff and Robbins (2007), Pavlicevic (1997), Priestley (1994), Rider (1997), Ruud (1998), Smeijsters (2005), Stige (2002).

Outside of the traditional concert stage, Mr. Thibaudet's talent has also been recognized. This November 2004, Mr. Thibaudet will serve as President (an honor extended to luminaries) of the prestigious Hospices des Baune, an annual charity auction in Burgundy, France. He had an onscreen cameo in the Bruce Beresford feature film on Alma Mahler entitled "Bride of the Wind" (released June 2001), and his playing is showcased throughout the movie soundtrack. His playing can also be heard in the movie soundtrack of the feature film "Portrait of a Lady" for which he played two Schubert Impromptus (1997). He was featured in the 2000 PBS/Smithsonian special, "Piano Grand!," a piano performance television special hosted by Billy Joel to give tribute to the 300th anniversary of the piano. The fashion world has taken notice of Mr. Thibaudet as well. His concert attire is designed by the celebrated London fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

Gran Turismo featured two different opening songs. For the North American and PAL versions is a Chemical Brothers remix of the Manic Street Preachers song Everything Must Go. The opening music for the Japanese version is Moon Over The Castle, composed by Masahiro Andoh; this music is used for the opening movie in the Japanese version of every Gran Turismo primary game to date (as well as the Asian version of Gran Turismo 4). The North American and PAL versions of the game featured a soundtrack composed of instrumentals and famous bands, whereas the Japanese version used the Gran Turismo Original Soundtrack, a completely original score.

Gran Turismo 2 further increased the number of tracks on-disc by separating the two gametypes, arcade and simulation, onto two discs. This allowed for more space to place audio. Below is the ingame track list, followed by the official soundtrack CDs. The PAL version has a different soundtrack.[3]

If there's one thing about movies during the 1980s, the music seemed as important to the film's success as the plot and acting performances. Here's our list of the 25 best film soundtracks from the decade.

The Opportunity: Held last September in the small Polish town of Kolbuszowa, the 5th Psalms of David Festival was a celebration of Jewish and Christian scripture, set to a soundtrack of classical music. The open-air event, which was hosted at Kolbu...

The methods used to study the specifics of professional training of pianists at the secondary level of music education are the analysis of theoretical works and scientific and methodological developments in the field of music including piano pedagogy (Pereverzeva, 2018), performance analysis (Egurnova, 2020), the hermeneutic method of music comprehension (Aksenova et al., 2020), active and gaming teaching technologies (Pereverzeva et al., 2020a, 2020b). The methods also include the generalization of teaching practice and the assessment of statistical data, particularly the performance indicators of Chinese college students. Statistics show (Brahmstedt & Brahmstedt, 1997; Ho & Law, 2004; Parsad & Spiegelman, 2012) the achievement level of students in Chinese colleges in major cities has been steadily increasing over the past 20 years. Therefore, the Chinese system of musical upbringing and education is drawing the attention of teaching theorists and practitioners from around the world. Despite a fairly wide range of studies, the methodological base on which the musical and pedagogical system of China develops remains a poorly studied area. In this work, the object of research is the work on a musical piece in piano classes in Chinese colleges.
