Please find attached Situation Report 1 on the ongoing flood and landslide situation in Assam and Mizoram as of 16 July 2026. The report provides an updated overview of impacts, government response, humanitarian actions, and emerging needs across both states.
Key highlights include:
- Floods affecting over 35,000 people across six districts in Assam.
- Major landslides in Mizoram blocking NH‑54 and key highways, with families evacuated from high‑risk areas.
- Active relief distribution, medical deployment, and road clearance operations underway.
- Multi‑sectoral humanitarian support required to address gaps in shelter, WASH, protection, and livelihood recovery.
