To All Committee ChairPeople:
The IT committee is making plans to migrate our website to a responsive design. But we need your help, and the help of your committee members (so please forward this email to your group).
Over the next few weeks, could you please try out the new site design, which is accessible at:
The timeframe for this review period is going to be 1 month, so please send your feedback by April 10.
The actual design of the site should not seem all that different. In fact if you're looking at the new design on your computer (and not comparing it side-by-side with the old design), you should have a hard time finding any differences. However, the responsive design should make it much easier to view and navigate the site on tablets and smartphones.
Test it on your tablet or smartphone to see how the responsive design feels. But also test it on your desktop or laptop, because as much as we'd like to know that the site functions properly on tablets and phones, we also want to know that nothing much has changed in the desktop version*.
*There's one caveat regarding the desktop version. If you look at the new site on your computer browser with the browser window width smaller than 768px, you will experience the site as though you were viewing it on your phone or a mini-tablet.
Please email me if you find any issues with the functionality of the new design. Be as descriptive as possible and please be sure to include what device (and its orientation) you were using when you encountered the issue.
Thanks,
Nat.
