SPEVI Early Intervention VI Community of Practice (EIVI CoP)

Topic: Creating Inclusive Early Childhood Settings

Presenters: Bronwen Scott (O&M Specialist/Lecturer: Macquarie University/NextSense Institute) & Tricia Izzard (Early Childhood Specialist/Children and Young People Senior Practitioner: Vision Australia)

 

This session explores how to create inclusive early childhood settings for children with blindness and low vision. It covers the meaning of inclusion, and highlights the need for tailored supports and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). As a group, we will discuss and brainstorm practical strategies for enabling genuine participation, learning, and belonging.
