Guest presenter: Phia Damsma
Phia will provide personal insights, gained from her long professional experience, into ways to support early childhood aged children with blindness and low vision in developing early technology skills. She will share her considerations around un-plugged learning support, accessibility requirements, learning opportunities, developmental limitations, potential risks, and relevant benefits of early introduction to computers or mobile devices. The presentation will include real-life examples of children’s and practitioners’ use of Sonokids Ballyland educational game apps as well as other resources.
