Join us for an interactive training session focused on enhancing tactile exploration and mediation techniques to support children and young people who are blind or have low vision. Through practical demonstrations and discussion, attendees will build confidence in applying strategies that foster learner autonomy and promote meaningful communication and learning.

What We’ll Cover:

  • Identifying and describing types of touch and exploratory procedures used in tactile learning
  • Understanding the difference between hand-over-hand and hand-under-hand techniques
  • Reflecting on ethical and developmental considerations in tactile mediation
  • Practicing hand-under-hand strategies that encourage autonomy and active participation

This session is ideal for educators, therapists, and families supporting children who are blind or have low vision.
