Spectroid and new versions of Android

How do I run Spectroid on a newer version of Android. When I attempt to install Android on my current version of Android 17.0.104; it doesn't install. I've searched for solutions on this but I'm hoping I don't have to do those solutions and the author could update for newer versions of Android ?

I've grown tired of jumping through Google's hoops.  You can still sideload the APK on newer versions of Android:
