HTTP API requests for monitoring

Hi There

I would like to use the HTTP API for simple monitoring, eg to get capacity etc info.

From the API docs I can see the http request:

eg:

GET http://blackpearl-hostname/_rest_/capacity_summary/?bucket_id=bucket1&storage_domain_id=LTO-5Tape HTTP/1.1

but have been unable to get the signing and authentication to work.

What is the best way to do this for eg using curl? We're not really wanting to install the python sdk onto the monitoring platform just to make these requests.
