Someone expressed a concern about images (both FAF and OCT) loosing resolution qualify after exporting an E2E file -> emailing it to someone and importing it again. I have a hard time believing that to be true but thought I check with the experts.

Thanks,

Kirsten

If you export in E2E you are exporting in the instrument's native resolution. No loss of resolution. Only perceived "loss" might be if the receiving computer's monitor is set too dim or with low contrast. But that is not a true loss of anything, just a difference in viewing monitor setting.

I don't know if I'm an expert but I've never experienced that and I have exported hundreds if not thousands with a reimport on another machine.

Dirk is right. There is no resolution lose. The E2E is all the RAW data.

Thank you Dirk, Eric and Tim for confirming what I thought. I appreciate having the technical jargon at hand to defend my opinion.
