Http Basic Authentication

Is there any way to set up monitors for sites requiring http basic
authentication?

I was working on it earlier this morning, but I couldn't get the
development version running properly :\

Yes, take a look at http://code.google.com/p/specto/wiki/Installing
It has info about dependencies and how to use bazaar and launch specto without needing to install system-wide. I hope it helps, if you feel there is information missing, give me some feedback on that :)
