The latest release of Specto (0.4) provides integration with Ubuntu
Messagging Menu (on Gnome).

Xfce has a similar panel applet, the indicator plugin. Many programs work
well on both GNOME and XFCE indicators (Popper, Gmail notifier, Pidgin,
FBuntu...) but not Specto.

I get Specto icon on the indicator plugin menu. On a website update I get
the OSD notification, but not an entry on the Indicator plugin menu.
