Subject: Open PhD position to study forest change in tropical mountains

Hi Kyla,

I hope everything is going well and that you're enjoying Thanksgiving week.
I’m recruiting a PhD student to work on forest change in tropical mountains to start in Fall 2026. I'm sharing the information in case you know someone that could be interested in applying. Would you mind sharing this info among your contacts?

The position will be fully funded for three years with possibility of extension. Applications are due December 8 through this google form, with a second round of formal applications due December 15 to the Natural Resource Science & Management PhD program. You can find more information in the attached PhD position description.
Questions can be directed to my email (ausc...@umn.edu with subject “PhD position in tropical mountains”).

Thank you very much!

Best,
