Netflix does not provide an option to directly delete your login history. However, you can sign out of all devices currently logged in to your account by going to your Account settings, selecting "Sign out of all devices," and confirming the action. This will effectively clear your login history across all devices.

To remove a title from your "Continue Watching" row, navigate to the title, select the three-dot icon below it, choose "Remove from Row," and confirm your selection. This action will remove the selected title from your "Continue Watching" list across all devices, ensuring a cleaner and more personalized viewing.

Netflix uses your viewing history to make recommendations based on your interests. However, if you share your Netflix account with others or if you have watched content that is not reflective of your preferences, it can skew the recommendations you receive. By modifying your viewing history, you can ensure that the suggestions you receive are more accurate and aligned with your current preferences.

The feature of "because you watched" can not be reset or turned off. I don't want people and guests seeing what I watched. However, this feature can't be reset. Roku will will then suggest other types of movies it thinks are related. People think I'm a freak or ideologically bereft. I'm going to erase my account and go to a firestick where they do not have such an inane feature. Roku refuses to fix this problem.

Can you please provide more information about the issue you are seeing? Can you provide a screenshot of within The Roku Channel so we can better understand what the issue is? When you select content within this section, can you press the * button and have the ability to remove that content?

I don't know away either. The watched history is different and does have a clear option. It's Roku's menu that is holding their suggestions to the movie in need of removing. No way to unlink, clear or delete.

Agreed, the "because you watched" feature needs to be removed, or at least have a way to clear the "suggestions". Its very annoying to most users and may cause uncomfortable situations with people who don't want others to see what they may have watched at one time or another.

This issue has nothing to do with the Save List. It's almost like you're not reading all of the complaints about this issue. It has to do with the suggestions row that will come on the home screen of the Roku Channel. My teenaged son watched an explicit movie and now we have a suggestion row on our home screen "Because You Watched Live Nude Girls" and it shows us several more explicit movies. We get this right on the top of the Roku Channel home screen, so it assaults us every time we go to the Roku Channel. So we don't go to the Roku Channel anymore. Not sure that's what you want.

Thanks for responding. As you can see from the several posts on this topic, this is a major issue for many of us. I have parental controls set, but my teenager discovered my PIN. (Teenagers work hard to get around the rules.) I have since changed my PIN, but us parents can use all the help we can get. Can you please tell the team responsible for the change to make this a top priority? Can it be made an option to keep or delete? The suggestions can be worthwhile, but they also can be problematic. Let the user decide. Please fix this. Thanks

My subscription is directly with Acorn via their website, and viewed via the Acorn TV channel app on my Rokus. At the top of my screen, I select My Acorn TV, then under Recently Watched I can click on a show graphic and choose Remove from Recently Watched.

If you subscribed through Roku instead of directly with Acorn, I expect you have to view through The Roku Channel. If that at doesn't give you the Remove from Recently Watched option you may want to cancel your Acorn subscription thru Roku. When your pre-paid subscription period runs out you could then subscribe directly on acorn.tv and use the Roku Acorn TV app.

I am having the same problem and subscribed to Acorn on their website. They told me this is an issue with Roku and not with them. I had no problems for a couple of months and then it started 2 weeks ago. I also had an issue where watched episodes didn't show the "red bar" of being watched. That has since resolved.

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Acorn TV directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Acorn TV channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

I've had this problem for a while now. I also reached out to Acorn TV and they said it's a Roku problem because they don't have the Remove From Recently Watched button. I can now get it to work on Midsomer Murders, but nothing else. I have movies that I watched a few minutes of and didn't like. I'd like to remove them, but can't. I hope this is something that Roku can fix.

Acorn support is lying to you about the ability to delete recently watched episodes and Roku. If this was truly Roku controlling this function why is it also impossible to delete recently watched episodes on a PC or a tablet or phone? These devices are not in control of Roku. The fact of the matter is that they just won't do it. It was an available function for years, easy to do and made sense. Now, unless they have a band of incompetent web developers I can't understand why this isn't available at least on devices other than Roku.

I got the same problem where it is impossible to remove 9 recently watch programs because it can only read but cannot write the info were ever on earth that info is being store and who doing the storing. Its attempts a write, selection remove recently watch disappear for a brief second, rereads the data and selection "Remove Recently Watch" reappears with always the same info of the pickup point. It's the same info as last successful write that was over 4 weeks ago. Even attempt to truncate them by putting over 50 shows on recently watch list. Maximum shown on list is 30. Then I remove the 50 shows from recently watch list with no problems, but those old 9 shows reappear. Only a hardware technician can fix this problem but by which company. Acorn says it Roku and a person has a better chance of winning the lottery then contacting Roku. If I had a monthly subscription, I would cancel but problem is I have an annual subscription. So, I will need to manual write down the shows of those nine that always show the same point left off 4 weeks ago and will never change. That cross that I must bear won't be as bad when I got all shows watch from those 9 and are push to the right out of view.

Acorn is lying. Why would roku control that. Doesn't work on my tablet either,, so how does roku control an android device? Other streamers can write code that does the job, but Acorn IT is apparently incompetent. There's a reason those coders don't work for Amazon.:)

Netflix does a lot of things exceptionally well, but content discovery is not one of them. It's surprisingly difficult to dig deep into the company's library to find enjoyable new stuff to watch. Instead, users often have to rely on the not-so-user-friendly secret Netflix codes (how to enter Netflix's secret codes).

Luckily, all hope is not lost. You can remove the movies and TV shows you've watched from your Netflix history, and prevent the algorithms from considering them when suggesting new content. So, here's how to delete your Netflix history to improve your recommendations.

Remember, if you've watched multiple episodes of a show, you need to remove them all for Netflix's algorithms to stop considering them. You can either do this manually, or click Hide Series? to remove the show as a whole.

the app nor stream website do not offer that option. The x1 devices have a preferences/general setting for turning off recently watched history. Try turning that off and see if it stops teh stream app saving the same data. Let us know.

I have a new (TCL/Roku) smart TV. It is not at all practical to connect it physically to an X1 device and am streaming only. Am I correct that I must live with not being able to delete movies from the recently watched list?

I'm using a Flex box and while hIghlighting the show I wanted to remove I was able to press the info button to the right of Voice on my remote and choose "Clear History". Option to remove just that one, or all history.

Since its establishment in 1997, Netflix has revolutionized how we watch television. Originally a DVD-by-mail service, the company has transformed itself into a global streaming platform with over 150 million subscribers. With a wide variety of content, including original programming, movies, and documentaries, there is something for everyone on Netflix.

While it's not necessary to keep a record of everything you've ever watched on Netflix, there are times when you want to check your watching history but are worried about how to watch it on Netflix. Whether you're trying to remember the name of a movie you saw a while ago or want to make sure you're keeping up with your New Year's resolution to watch more documentaries, your Netflix viewing history can be a helpful resource.

Netflix offers a variety of ways for you to view your history. You can see all the episodes you've watched on a particular show and how long you watched each episode. You can also see a list of all the movies and TV shows you've added to your watch history and when you added them. If you want to hide an episode from your history, click on the "x" next to the episode. If you have any problems with your recent episodes, you can report them by clicking on the "?" next to that episode.

Once the file is downloaded, it will be saved in CSV format. You can open the file using software like MS Excel etc. Another way to open the file is in Google Docs. Here's how to view the watch history file in CSV format in Google Docs.
