I've had Rapture for a number of years. It was registered and everything was fine until recently. Now it pops up(in Reaper)in demo mode and asks to register, except the register box is greyed out and it states that I have not signed on as an administrator. When I close everything and start again as an administrator Rapture opens, this time without the splash screen telling me the demo is over, so I assumed I'm back. The trouble is , even though I load a voice, there is no sound. I have tried everything but to no avail. Anyone had similar problems. I would appreciate any help on this.

Also you can find your serial number at Cakewalk.com which keeps a record for years of your downloads. I checked it for my account and it listed it. So you can get your serial numbers from there. I remembered I had to struggle with it but if you have those 2 things I would change my foldername (just so you don't lose the efforts of programming you have put in for that plugIn. and reinstall it.

The Global page can access filters through the Effects and has a stereo step sequencer too. If it only had an EG and LFO, you'd have a complete modulation section before output.The Modulators can control both cutoff and resonance for each filter, as well as pitch, pan and amplitude. The envelope generators and LFO are basically taken from Dimension; you create envelope breakpoints by right-clicking in the graphical display, while the LFO contains all the usual controls. You can also add your own LFO shapes simply by naming mono WAV-format files consecutively from 20 to 99 and putting them in the LFO folder. These files can be of any sample rate and length and can certainly add texture to your bag of LFO tricks. However, the LFO rate control barely gets into the audio range (its fastest setting is 40Hz), so clangorous FM sounds can't be achieved this way. Keytracking works the same highly ergonomic way in Rapture as in Dimension: dragging either side of the segment maps the effect to the destination according to MIDI note numbers. There are a few tricks here, but it mostly works as you would expect.

There was a short time period after BandLab took over where you could still register products at the old cakewalk.com, but this was stopped at the same time new registrations on the old cakewalk site were disabled.

EDIT: RAPTURE has some problems with its functions. The dials on the frequency filter don't show numbers and there aren't any copy and paste on the filter section. Also in the oscillator section im not able to get the chain up element section to chain up properly. It is very analog but not quite perfect.

This is a wonderful sounding synth...Very expressive and very musical and it never fails to impress me....

I love wavetable synths and this one and Z3TA+2 are my favourites.....

Rene's creations have always been inspiring and Rapture is the evolution of many of those ground breaking ideas...

The open architecture of this synth with the importing of single cycle waveforms and sfz files,provides you with an almost infinite number of possibilties...

There is a real zen like quality to Rapture - where the instrument becomes invisible and you are absorbed inside the performance....

Mmmmm ....what a pleasant way to pass the time....

The sound engine is one of the best ones out there and the filters in this instrument are impressive...

Then you have the envelopes...Multi stage envelopes for Amplitude,Pitch and Pan plus Cutoff and Resonance for each of the two filters with an LFO and key tracking - for every element...

with rapture, it's very easy to create evolving sounds with movement. it's perfect for ambient sounds, evolving pads, atmospheric textures, sci-fi fx and assorted digital weirdness. i bought it for those reasons and it's worked out well for me.

i haven't had the need to delve deeply into the modulation matrix, though it's amazing what you can do with the crazy number of LFOs and envelope generators that rapture contains. offhand, i think it has 42 LFOs and 42 EGs available to be used.

put it this way, i'm not a big fan of soft synths but i love rapture. i believe it is highly underrated. i think it has a unique sound character. i think that it's perfect for what you describe. i don't know if there's a demo for it, but if there is, you should try it for yourself to see if it agrees with you and your musical vision. these things are always so personal.

If you log into the cakewalk website you should be able to see all your purchased software and it will give you a link to download the latest version.
Never mind. Yeah this is terrible how you have to register it now. Also, the application seems to be much more CPU intensive. I hope I can downgrade.

The CD opens with a group of five songs composed in Prague in 1939, with texts from the Liebesgedichte of Ricarda Huch. Settings of Huch's poetry are not numerous; aside from Ullmann, Hans Pfitzner has set seven poems, five of which are also from Huch's Liebesgedichte. Although some might not find Ullmann's music accessible at first hearing, it beautifully captures the almost fanatical rapture of Huch's love poetry. Shirai and Höll give a gripping performance, which, like Ullmann's music, amply repays multiple listenings.

This recording is potentially useful in a number of different areas of the discipline of German Studies. In Ricarda Huch studies, for example, a discussion of the statement in the CD booklet that Ullmann "strengthened the prevailing mood of the poetry, and added new components to it" (14) could be very fruitful. In addition, Ullmann's editing of Rilke's text and its effect on the work promises a fascinating project, while Ullmann's entire biography offers a particularly compelling instance of an artist's confrontation with National Socialism and the Holocaust. Given an academic climate that actively promotes interdisciplinarity, it is wonderful to find a recording that brings music and Germanistik together in so many ways.
