Good news!

We've got a free ReSharper (full edition) license from JetBrains!
Thank you!

The license can be used by project contributors. If you feel like a
project contributor (you are active in the community and/or had pull
requests) and need the license details, please contact me per mail.

Now if only there was a way for contributors to get a license to use
Visual Studio Pro, then I'd be in business...

BizSpark is a relatively easy way to get one if you have an idea for building a .net SaaS, website service or product (so long as it's not consultancy/bespoke) - www.microsoft.com/bizspark.

James,

You are right, BizSpark is great for that.  But I'm just a regular ol'
developer who wants to keep contributing to OSS .Net project despite
having a Ruby day job.

I've looked at every available option from Microsoft.  Their position
is that I should pay $800 to continue.

Darren,

Have you applied for BizSpark yet? I can't imagine that you don't have
some app idea that you could be planning to work on as a single
developer startup. At least let them tell you no instead of telling
yourself no. It's worth a shot.
