Hi,

I managed to get SpecFlow working with Windows Phone Developer Tools
7.0. After I upgraded my developer tools to Windows Phone Developer
Tools 7.1 Beta, I get this error:

C:\Projects\SpecFlowDemo\SpecFlowDemo>specflow generateall
SpecFlowDemo.csproj
The attribute "BeforeTargets" in element <Target> is unrecognized. C:
\Program F
iles\MSBuild\Microsoft\XNA Game Studio
\v4.0\Microsoft.Xna.GameStudio.Content.tar
gets

C:\Projects\SpecFlowDemo\SpecFlowDemo>

Any idea whether this is a problem in my environment or in SpecFlow?
Has anyone successfully migrated their SpecFlow project to Windows
Phone 7.1?

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't yet converted to WP7 7.1, but I
was contemplating doing it later this week. I am just a lurker, but I
have an environment at work that I can confirm your results with
tomorrow (I love VMs, don't you?).

Ouch, my dreams of running multiple versions side by side by using
virtual machines for development environments were dashed when the
phone emulator crashed the virtual environment (I found
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2878307/windows-phone-7-emulator-on-a-vm
which explains the emulator is a VM itself) so I have not reproduced
your error yet. I am standing up another box anyway, and I know Ghost
will let me roll back :-) so I am still committed to a repro for you.

Sincerely,

Larry

Larry and all,

This problem also occurs with BowlingKata example (https://github.com/techtalk/SpecFlow-Examples/tree/master/BowlingKata). I uninstalled Windows Phone Developer Tools 7.1 Beta and installed Windows Phone SDK 7.1 Beta 2 and still getting the same error with BowlingKata example.

On another computer I installed Windows Phone SDK 7.1 Beta 2 and I tried SpecFlow 1.6.1 with BowlingKata example (https://github.com/techtalk/SpecFlow-Examples/tree/master/BowlingKata/BowlingKata-WindowsPhone7-MsTest) on this SDK. My error was not reproduced there anymore.

One difference on these computers is that the computer where it fails is 32-bit Windows 7 and the computer where it works is 64-bit Windows 7. I'll investigate this further a bit later but it would be nice to hear if any of you is able to get this error when running SpecFlow on BowlingKata example or is it just that I have messed up my env somehow.

i have updated the wiki (https://github.com/techtalk/SpecFlow/wiki/
Windows-Phone-7-Support) to mention potential issues. If there is any
conclusion or fix, please also update the wiki.
