I raised the subject of Meetup myself in an earlier exchange. It is the right way to go. There is a way to make it cost almost nothing. But this is something I'll explain at a meeting in the near future.

I've been invited to write a review article ...which may or may not be published. ....so rather than submit a story for the first meeting I was going to ask the group to review the article......so I'd better get on with writing it!
