It was nominated for six awards at the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, winning two of them: Best Editing and Best Sound Design. The film also won the Audience Award at the 18th International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.

The film begins with OÄuz, a wealthy and educated young man from Istanbul, who chooses to serve as a long-term soldier in the Turkish army, despite having the option to pay for a shorter service. He is stationed in a remote outpost in eastern Turkey, where he clashes with Bekir, a rebellious and street-smart soldier who has been serving for more than two years. OÄuz also has a girlfriend, Pelin, who is waiting for him to return.

One week before his discharge, OÄuz is assigned to a duty team along with Bekir, Lieutenant YaÅar Demir and Staff Sergeant Kemal KaradaÄ. Their mission is to repair a field antenna that has been damaged by a snowstorm. They take a helicopter to the mountains, where they encounter a group of terrorists who open fire at them. The helicopter crashes and the four soldiers survive, but they are surrounded by the enemy.

The soldiers try to defend themselves and contact their base, but their radio is broken and their ammunition is limited. They decide to move to a higher position, where they hope to find a signal and escape. Along the way, they face many dangers and hardships, such as landmines, snipers, avalanches and frostbite. They also witness the brutality of the terrorists, who kill innocent villagers and torture captured soldiers.

As they struggle to survive, OÄuz and Bekir develop a bond of brotherhood and respect for each other. They also learn more about each other's backgrounds and motivations. OÄuz reveals that he chose to serve as a long-term soldier because he wanted to prove himself and honor his father, who died in a terrorist attack. Bekir reveals that he joined the army to escape from his abusive father and his criminal past.

The film ends with a climactic battle between the soldiers and the terrorists, in which only OÄuz and Bekir manage to survive. They finally reach the antenna and contact their base, requesting an evacuation. However, they are still under fire and have to fight their way out. The film ends with a scene of OÄuz and Bekir holding hands as they wait for the rescue helicopter.
