Self-checking fonts offer easy integration with many applications without the requirement of check digit calculations. No, I didn't ran into this problem. I know that there can be differences between printers but on the same printer, the layout remained the same. You're also not outputting to pdf but always directly to the printer, on the same computer? Sending to pdf could create a different presentation when rendering ona physical printer. If you're getting the problem when printing from a different computer, then I would check if the printer driver version match between one station which prints correctly and the one who does not result in an appropriate output.

Hi Eric, I am working on a task similar to yours and I already was able to find the font and size that works for me, however I am having a problem. If I print the very same check multiple times I got some small differences in the alignment of the micr line, this makes that sometimes the numbers don't fit properly in the gauge. By chance did you have the same problem? I am using an HP LaserJet M203dw for printing the report. Do you have any suggestion of how to troubleshoot the issue?

Size 12 is definitely too wide for the canadian bounding box of each character. Screenshot is not necessary, it wont show anything useful, it is when a cheque is placed in the calibration gauge that the offset is noticeable, after 9 or 10 characters.

Another suggestion I received was to split the micr code in 3 or 4 parts so the offset is minimized as each segment is forced aligned to its proper "bounding-box". It is not as dreadful as isolating each character in a substr() on the SSRS report.

Hmm, well I'm still missing something. Here is the issue - in the "preview record selector" I can see the barcode string "TTFAD...." however nothing appears on the barcode line in the PDF, although the rest of the record lines do appear..

The IDAutomation4State font contains glyphs only for the digits 0, 1, 2, and 3. If you want to use raw data encoded with the letters F, A, T, and D, then you need to convert those letters to the digits, as demonstrated in these threads, all of which are fairly easy to find by searching this forum for "intelligent mail barcode":

The location of fonts.err varies based on the versions of FusionPro and your operating system. On Windows XP, with FusionPro 8.0, the fonts.err file should be at "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\PTI\FusionPro\".
