Topic
Spec_wire is a wire protocol for RSpec and Cucumber. The advantage of
a wire protocol for a testing framework is to leverage the power of
the framework while allowing the Code Under Test be execute in a
different environment. That environment can be a remote location or
even another programming language. Imagine writing specs or cukes as
usual and making them pass in C#, Python or Perl. Ed will be showing
how to install and use the spec_wire gem snd will target the PHP
platform. Spec_wire uses REST and JSON to implement the protocol, so
it is straightforward to develop interfaces to other languages.
