When opening my.earthlink.net I get a certificate error. This started happening about 2-3 weeks ago. I thought it would correct itself but so far no joy. IE opens the page with no issues. This is one of my startup pages have used it for years with no issues. Contacted Earthlink and they seem to think it is a browser problem.Any help?
Ever since I installed Firefox v54 (upgrades and new install), others and I have been unable to send e-mails in EarthLink's webmail ( ) from multiple accounts' addresses from two MacBook Pro (El Capitan v10.11.6 and Sierra v10.12.5) and a 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 machine. Webmail's "Send", "Save Draft", and "Cancel" buttons become gr(a/e)yed out after being pressed. No requested actions occurred from send and saving draft options. Cancel worked though.
i have the same problem and it seems to be confined to earthlink webmail in all browsers. I've removed all notifications and extensions. I've run Rkill Adwcleaner Malwarebytes MBAM (with root kill) Hitman Pro in that order. Did an offline Windows Defender Scan as well as a Full Online Scan. Problem remains. Is there a clue in that earthlink email is the only source of problem
Folks: As of two days ago (Wed 2/27/19), I am no longer getting emails from my groups that are supposed to send me each email. Apparently, Earthlink is now bouncing emails sent to me, from the Groups for which I'm an admin.
I checked the Subscription tab of each group's page, and the bounces are recorded in the Email Delivery History section. Each bounce has this error reading:
550 IP 66.175.222.12 is blocked by EarthLink. Go to earthlink.net/block for details.
Earthlink's customer service line says, in so many words, the email sender should forward a copy of a bounced email to blockedbyearthlink@... -- and set the subject line to only "Blocked
It is completely impossible to take the full email, including the domain, to a new provider. The domain is the 'locator' and, once on a new service, must be matched to the provider in order to actually operate. You cannot take "[email protected]" and move it to Gmail and keep the "@earthlink.net" part, the mail routing services can't handle that. It would be like living in "Joe Average, 123 Anyplace Drive, Denver, CO" and moving to Los Angeles, CA and then addressing to "Joe Average, 555 Local Avenue, Los Angeles, CO" - the domain is the first, main routing resolving pointer that delivers your email to the provider's server, who only THEN resolves your user name to their inbox.
