Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AS400 Developer with strong experience in RPG (RPGLE / ILE RPG), COBOL, and DB2 on IBM i (AS/400) platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing legacy systems while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform
• Write and modify programs using RPG (RPGLE, ILE RPG), COBOL, and CL
• Work with DB2/400 database for querying, data manipulation, and optimization
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of existing applications
• Develop and maintain batch jobs, stored procedures, and system integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts and QA
• Ensure code quality through reviews, documentation, and adherence to standards
• Support production issues and provide timely resolutions

Required Skills

• Strong experience in RPG (RPG III / IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG)
• Proficiency in COBOL programming on AS400
• Hands-on experience with DB2/400 (SQL, queries, stored procedures)
• Good knowledge of CL programming
• Experience with screen development (DDS, subfiles)
• Understanding of AS400 system architecture and job processing
• Familiarity with debugging tools and performance tuning techniques
