Hi all,
as mentioned in the last newsletter, this year I have been organizing
the 2nd "Yellowfin Tuna Panama" adventure. While last year was a big
success, this year presents an even better trip with a ton of upgrades
being made.
Before reading all the details below, let me clear up that recently
there was some dabate about the legality of spearfishing in Hannibal
Banks. I have done research and it is indeed legal (I know of people
spearfishing there right now with no problems).
This year, the date to go is April 13-21, and so far I´ve got 2 spots
left to join me and another experienced freedive hunter. The new
operation we are using is "top notch", from boats to gear to captains
to comfortable ammenities. Their direct site is

The info regarding this trip is posted here:

Besides yellowfin tuna (the largest ones pass in April), we will also
target Dorado (Mahi), Cubera, Roosterfish, Grouper, Wahoo, Trevally,
Amberjack, Trippletail, and Lobsters.
Check out some of the amazing links from recent fishing action in
Panama´s Hannibal Banks:

- A more recent post one from another neighbouring captain is very
interesting, commenting how "the blue water si back and everywhere you
looked there are tuna, in schools of thousands!. Biggest one was over
230lbs:

Anyone interested let me know ASAP. Also, I just confirmed that the
fish speared can be sold, so we can recover some cash back spent on
this trip.
Safe hunting!
Ben.
