This report should be of interest to academics and researchers developing crash modification factors or functions and statistical models to determine how the models best represent real-world relationships.
Whenever I try crash a plane, the plane's nose just gets stuck in the ground, which has been never seen in real life and it is very unrealisitc and unusual. Does anyone know any cool very realistic explosion mods. So like if i crash into the building, theres also an explosion instead of the plane getting stuck. If I crash into the ground, there's also an explosion, but huge and realistic and 'Awww-ing'

So, I hold a PPL and fly as often as I can from my local airfield. I have no commercial aviation experience but am curious.I wonder, how realistic and accurate is the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator release compared to the real world? How realis...
What do I need to download to make these cockpit panels more realistic?? I keep seeing these videos and their cockpits are so realistic. Then I open FSX and mine (default) look horrible!!! What can I do?...
Hello, helloDoes someone know some cool flying routes? Small ones with like, 15 - 60 minutes of flying. The ones I fly a lot are:Alpnach to BuochsGeneva to ZurichLelystad to SchipholI would some cool flying routes with nice views/scener...
This sounds like it could be a graphics issue so my recommendation would be to disable hardware acceleration in Revit as described in this article. If that resolves the problem, you may need to upgrade the graphics drivers for your video card.
It also crashes my PC all drivers are up-to-date. I check my CPU temps when painting walls in Realistic mode, it reaches 100 degrees which causes my PC to reboot. Already re-pasted my thermal paste, crash still occurs. Maybe a hot-fix to Revit 2021 is needed?
I've run into this in the past. Usually the problem was related to one of the materials. Start by looking for any issues with the image shown in the material's Appearance tab. One of our users downloaded an image from Google and the file name was hundreds of characters long. Windows has a finite limit of characters that include the file path + the filename. Better description is here:
If I reboot the system and "resume game" it spawns me up top, just before the rope grab but I'm stuck in one place with no weapons and can't use any cybercores. Eventually it will jump me to the cut-scene and make me jump off the edge but again... NO WEAPONS!!!
I was also going to suggest just restarting the mission. Mission itself isn't even that long and you're maybe half way through at that point... And no, you can play any mission o any difficulty in co-op and still get any achievement you want=)
I've had the same thing happen to me today. I've played it three times through and have had the same results. Its already a pain in the ass to play on realistic mode, never mind having to redo a level 3 times to get the same result.
Agree with you on everytihng, there doesnt seem to be a lot of attention to the risks involved with complex aircraft and flying. Though I wish they spent more time on the unrealistic forgiving flight model and flight dynamics.
In my opinion, the instant black screen with the high pitched little beep simulating you being knocked out is the most brutal way of ending any crash. Reminds me of how i imagine a real death would be.
I wonder who still remembers the damage effects from Fs2002. Somehow after watching a video it came back to me and I wonder if it was possible to include such effects into the Sim for the sake of reality eg that a can tyre burst or parts flying away when flying too rough?
The Black Square airplanes and the Milviz Pilatus PC6 Porter have perfekt damage simulation. When flying with the turbine at too high power the scratching and screeching noise when the turbine fails is epic!
While certain manufacturers may express concerns or preferences regarding how their aircraft are presented within flight simulators, information regarding restrictions explicitly prohibiting damage depiction in MSFS for specific aircraft models is not widely reported or publicly disclosed in any detail.
To me it seems simple in concept. Communicate via SimConnect, and simulate system failures by interacting with fuses, or shutting off valves. Either on command or by setting up random failures at random times. You could even trigger a failure based on changes in altitude if you wanted to simulate engine failure on takeoff or landing.
Whip is a hotshot, sauced-up captain whose substance-abuse habit crash-lands him, quite literally, into a whole heap of trouble. Our anti-Sully is a guy who flies on the heels of a coke binge and pours his own cocktails in the galley.
Prouse, an alcoholic whose parents had died of the disease, became a poster pilot for punishment and redemption. He was sentenced to 16 months in federal prison. Then, in a remarkable and improbable sequence of events, he was able to return to the cockpit on his 60th birthday and retire as a 747 captain.
The simulation is a machine-learning model that trained on data collected at a roundabout on the south side of Ann Arbor, recognized as one of the most crash-prone intersections in the state of Michigan and conveniently just a few miles from the offices of the research team. Known as the Neural Naturalistic Driving Environment or NeuralNDE, it turned that data into a simulation of what drivers experience every day. Virtual roadways like this are needed to ensure the safety of autonomous vehicle software before other cars, cyclists, and pedestrians ever cross its path.
But unlike a fully virtual environment, these tests take place in mixed reality on closed test tracks such as the Mcity Test Facility and the American Center for Mobility in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In addition to the real conditions of the track, the autonomous vehicles also experience virtual drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians behaving in both safe and dangerous ways. By testing these scenarios in a controlled environment, AV developers can fine-tune their systems to better handle all driving situations.
The reason that we chose that location is that roundabouts are a very challenging, urban driving scenario for autonomous vehicles. In a roundabout, drivers are required to spontaneously negotiate and cooperate with other drivers moving through the intersection.
The NeuralNDE is not only beneficial for AV developers but also for researchers studying human driver behavior. The simulation can interpret data on how drivers respond to different scenarios, which can help develop more functional road infrastructure.
In 2021, the U-M Transportation Research Institute was awarded $9.95M in funding by the USDOT to expand the number of intersections equipped with these sensors to 21. This implementation will expand the capabilities of the NeuralNDE and provide real-time alerts to drivers with connected vehicles.
UPDATE:
The shot is finished and i have a video for it. I made everything except the explosion that was made in houdini. Rendered with the New Object Type branch and when you have questions ask. I made it for an assignment for the university, and we wanted something challenging to learn a lot.
I am currently texturing a car for a VFX Effect and the goal is to be realistic. I have first made a clean version, might come in handy and now the dirty version for more realism. Any tips for scratches and used look things are welcomed.
In last picture it looks like the car has been dropped into a mud pool since the dirt has flown upwards. Normally dirt goes more like in a 45 degree angle and concentrates most on the front and just behind the front wheel (assuming your car is front wheel drive).
The first statistically realistic roadway simulation has been developed by researchers at the University of Michigan. While it currently represents a particularly perilous roundabout, future work will expand it to include other driving situations for testing autonomous vehicle software.

Do you think it would be possible that GTA V includes realistic car crashes, I mean like in the real life. For exemple, during a high speed car crash on the highway, the car would be completely destroyed, not only the bumper.
