Things have become much easier in the last eight years. You don't need to
do this no mo'.
This day and age, with Fedora, it's only a matter of:
Gnome Menu → Desktop → System Settings → Network
Or, if you can't find your way through the gnome menu: right click on the
desktop → "Open Terminal" → type "system-config-network", then:
Highlight eth0, click "Edit", then choose either DHCP or a static IP address
configuration, depending on what DSL package you've signed up for; click
"Ok", then "DNS" tab, and enter your DNS address settings, if necessary.
The existing linuxdsl.php page is a bit silly, but it's a nostalgically
pleasant trip back in time…
