Great news! The IANA has approved our application for a dedicated port
for non-SSL SPDY. We have been assigned the port number 6121.
This port is a DCCP 'Registered Port', a port that is "listed by the
IANA and on most systems can be used by ordinary user processes or
programs executed by ordinary users." Well Known and Registered Ports,
which cover the range 0 - 49151, "should not be used without IANA
registration", so having a dedicated port theoretically guarantees
that there are no other services using that port which we could
conflict with.
