TPP Tandem input files

Hi, 

Is it possible to use MGF files as an input for X!Tandem? I noted that comet will accept MGF files but can't see anything about tandem.

Hello Emma,

According to this, X!Tandem is indeed able to process MGF files:

Do note that the TPP GUI (Petunia) only allows you to choose mzML/mzXML files as input, so you will have to run via the command-line.  Also, any downstream TPP analysis also requires mzML/mzXML files.
