Installing TPP in Windows Virtual Machine

Hello,

I am running Windows 11 Pro on my Mac using VMWare Fusion. When installing TPP 7.3, it says it is not supported on the version of Windows running. I tried installing TPP 7.2 but it says the application needs x64 to run.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

We tested by installing the latest version (7.3.0) on Windows 11 Pro, so it is surprising that you are getting that error.  Perhaps this is a side-effect of the VMWare setup?  At what point in the installation do you see the error message?

If you do not have a 64-bit Windows system, you could either try building from source, or install 7.1.0 -- which is the last version of TPP that directly supports Mac.

Or you could also try installing without ProteoWizard tools, and see if that helps.

It might in fact be a side-effect of VMWare. I've tried uninstalling the VM and re-installing to make sure the set-up is correct, and other Windows-specific applications downloaded ok. The error message appears right at the beginning when I try to launch the installation.
