svn checkout errors and a workaround

While executing

    svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/sashimi/code/trunk/trans_proteomic_pipeline 

I got an error of the form: 

    svn: E175002: REPORT of '/p/sashimi/code/!svn/me': Could not read response body: Connection reset by peer (http://svn.code.sf.net)"

I found that  I could continue the partial download with

    svn cleanup trans_proteomic_pipeline
    svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/sashimi/code/trunk/trans_proteomic_pipeline 

I had to do this repeatedly (4or so times) but eventually the download completed.

Any reason not expect failure by continuing?
