Workshop on Engineering Applications 2018 (WEA 2018)

October 17-19 - Medellín, Colombia


The Engineering Faculty of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, The Universidad de Antioquia, and the National University of Colombia are glad to invite researchers, students, and practitioners on any engineering field to participate into one of the tracks of our conference which will be held in Medellín – Colombia.

  • Track 1: 5th Workshop on Engineering Applications – IEEE Universidad Distrital Student Chapter, ALGOS research group Universidad Nacional de Colombia

  • Track 2: Complex Systems and Simulation Environments - Institute of Industrial Engineers, Chapter 985-IISE-UD

  • Track 3: Green and Urban Logistics  - Universidad de Antioquia

  • Track 4: Computation & telecommunications - Universidad de Antioquia
 

Important Dates:

Paper and Poster submission deadline: April 15th 2018

Notification of acceptation: May 19th 2018

Tutorial proposal deadline: August 4th 2018

Final version deadline: June 16th 2018


Workshop dates: 

September 17-19th 2018.


Location and Venue: 

Medellín - Colombia

 

Types of contributions: 

This year, WEA 2018 has opened the possibility for both full papers and posters !!! Posters can be either on-the-road developments of well defined engineering problems, partial results of bigger research projects, or experimental advances of engineering problems/projetcs.

We will have sessions for full papers and sessions for posters as well... Everybody is invited !!!


Paper and poster Submission:

Conference proceedings are expected to be published by prestigious Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS). CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for the inclusion in ISI Proceedings. CCIS is also ranked and categorized by COLCIENCIAS system.

All papers must be written in english following Springer CCIS templates:
