[PATCH] Fix regression in freexl when opening some .xls files

Hi Sandro,

while investigating https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/47838, I found
that the root cause is a regression introduced between freexl 1.0.4 and
1.0.5.

The attached patch fixes it.
