Supporting interleaved packed format for stereo video

Hello,

I see that currently st3d box only supports side-by-side or top-to-bottom.  Is there a plan to add support for interleaved (e.g., left view followed by right view as different video frames)?  We know this can lead to better compression efficiency as showcased by MVC (H.264 multi-view coding) and MV-HEVC (H.265/HEVC multi-view coding).
