Hello,

I'm wondering what tools are commonly used to create audio that complies with YouTube's spatial audio formats?

I've got some Nokia Ozo footage that has spatial audio in and their tools can extract 4, 5, or 8 channel PCM. What do I need to do to this output to make it YouTube compliant?

[resending due to my email bouncing from the list... :)]

Hi Derek,

We have some documentation on capturing/producing ambisonics on our Jump Help Center here: https://support.google.com/jump/answer/6399746?hl=en&ref_topic=6399824

We also have some relevant appendices:
- Using the Spatial Media Metadata Injector (required for uploading to YouTube)

Regarding the Nokia OZO, I'm not familiar with what export formats are supported. To the best of my knowledge it does not support exporting to ambisonics (the technique/format used for YouTube spatial audio). I suggest contacting Nokia support to get a definitive answer though. If it does, please do share!

Hope this helps!
Dillon
