The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) Research Advocacy and Public Policy-making (RAPP) Program is soliciting a Project Coordinator to work, for at least two years, on a fulltime basis for different projects, among which are the Consortium for Arab Policy Research Institutes (CAPRI) Project and multidisciplinary and regional policy tracing projects.
The CAPRI Project at IFI aims to bring together Arab think tanks and research centers (or Policy Research Institutes- PRIs) to study Arab PRIs and explore how to enhance their role and impact in both Arab policy-making and global foreign policy-making vis-à-vis the Arab region.
The multidisciplinary and regional policy tracing projects are designed to provide in depth understanding of the decision-making process for a select policy. These studies map the development of a public policy, its evolution, achievements, constraints in formulation, and prospects for implementation. These projects are aimed at exploring the policy-making processes in the various public policy sectors in the Arab world. They provide retrospective policy analysis with the objective of generating insights about how policies are made and what influences policy-making, particularly examining the role of research and evidence in this process.
Background
The Research, Advocacy and Public Policy-Making Program (RAPP) aims to study the influence that research has on policy-making processes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
