Team Update and Key Dates for the Rest of the Season

Hi folks,

Congratulations on Monday night's victory. I hope you have all enjoyed the games this summer. Here is where we're at as the season draws to an end:

We are currently in the seventh tier in 53rd position. We are currently fifth in our tier. At this point I expect that we will remain in the seventh tier for the playoffs.

I am also very pleased that we, along with only one other team in the Monday Summer league, have a gold star for spirit points. Great spirit everyone! (As you may recall, our maintaining high spirit points will translate into free beer at the playoffs).

This season seems to have gone particularly fast; I would like to bring everyone up to date on the remaining games and social event for the Summer 2009 season.

I. Monday, August 17

Game 13

Please let me know if you will be away. So far I believe that Sam is the only player away on this day.

II. Monday, August 24

Quarter Final Game (played at regular time on Monday nights).

We will play another team from our Tier to determine if we are in the top four or bottom four teams for the playoffs.

III. Sunday, August 30

Finals at UPI. Starting time TBA (morning or afternoon).

Please let me know ASAP if you cannot play on this day.

IV. End of Season Get-Together

Suggested Date: Saturday afternoon September 19. We can discuss at our next game if this is a good time for everyone.

I'm really sorry but I won't be able to play for the rest of the season.  It was a lot of fun and sorry for my lack of attendance.  Good luck in the playoffs!  I'm sure Spastic can be Tier Champs again!

You had suggested a while ago having the end of season party on Sept 19th.
Is that still a possibility? I'm supposed to be subbing for a team
1:30-3:30pm but could come after that?

It's always a good time - I'd hate to miss it. No pressure :)

Works for me. I'm sure everyone would prefer to see Melissa and Spencer
there. I think there were a couple other people that suggested that date
wouldn't work for them either. Not to mention it's unconfirmed and only 2
days away.
