bx_meter will show you Peak and RMS values of your mixes, including the relation between the two using centered, DYNAMIC LEDs. bx_meter has a Mid / Side mode (Sum and Difference) in addition to the standard L/R mode, and it offers 3 different weightings to be used to display dynamics more like you hear them. Just like many other Brainworx tools, you will find several solo switches and valuable extra features like the floating dynamic LED mode.
bx_meter does not automatically make your mixes sound better, it simply lets you look at how you are mixing or mastering with unprecedented precision. This visual information about your mix allows you to better understand the correlation of dynamics, M/S, phase and levels of what you are hearing. In return, it helps you mix and master far more accurately.

In this free video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert Team Member Julian Rodgers looks at the bx_meter plugin from Plugin Alliance, a comprehensive metering plugin offering Peak, RMS, Balance, Correlation and most interestingly dynamic range metering (DR).
Generally speaking, anything with an overall reading of DR12 or more will sound very dynamic. Louder material often has less dynamic range than this. DR readings of less than 8dB runs the risk of sounding squashed.

PAL-BX/SALT+5 is a refractometer and salt meter hybrid, which has an optical prism used to measure the concentration (Brix) and a titanium electrode to measure the salt contents.
It checks the balance between concentration(Brix) and salt, which is the decisive factor for taste in foods.
In addition, we pursued the elimination of the dilution, which is required for salt measurement, especially for the concentrated samples like sauce.
The salt concentration of samples with high concentrations, such as sauce, can be measured without dilution!
Mastering requires a balanced, highly tuned processing chain, which can be both complex and expensive. The bx_masterdesk plug-in takes much of the guesswork out of the mastering process by combining several parameters into single controls with carefully chosen individual audio processors, each pre-tuned for easy and effective results.
The EQ section of the bx_masterdesk plug-in lets you dial in broad stroke tonal adjustments using an intuitive control set that resembles a guitar amp's tone stack. Simply turn the Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence knobs to quickly and subtly tweak the EQ curve of your master.
I have had this tool in the box for a while and initially it didn't quite do it for me. Doing all software mixing and mastering, this sounded cold and didn't give me the feel of a real analogue tone, depth, and roundness I was looking for. I went for real analogue Buss compressors and EQs (SSL GComp, HA Successor, and Tegeler Creme) and those by themselves still didn't get me to where I wanted to go. I decided to revisit the Masterdesk by placing it after the analogue chain in real time and boom, the magic came alive. It needed to be fed some mojo for it to now do what it can do, and what it can do is fantastic with this hybrid setup. When you use the real analogue for mainly the feel and depth (minimal to no compression) and then allow the Masterdesk to , almost transparently, do the compression, and final EQ tone, you get your money's worth from it. Why 4 stars and not 5 you may ask. Well, while I find it useful now, it still has it's downside:
1. The Turbo Limiter is thin sounding and I can't use as my final limiter. I place a preferred maximizer/limiter after this for final brick wall .
2. With the compressor link mode engaged, the stereo field shrinks, which is not acceptable to me. I use it in unlinked mode which makes the sound more open with the draw back of transient perceived shift in the stereo field.
3. A HPF would have been good to have for high frequency roll off
4. The resonance filters I think are impacting the overall sound in a not so good way. I don't use them.
5. The stereo Enhance is not that useful for me when compared to what my hardware stereo image shaper is doing.
Despite the downsides, I still find the rest of the tool useful as I am now much closer to getting that perfect master sound I have been working on with my current Hybrid setup. The Masterdesk and a limiter, for now, are the only software I need at the end of my analogue chain. Very useful mastering tool!
i have both this and the classic....Brainworx knocked it out of the park with these two units, i have both because i use them for tracking with my Apollo, so the classic is nice when i need more chain resources ... they are as clean as warm gets, and as warm as clean gets, and that's the gold when you're tracking ... THANK YOU BRAINWORX AND UAD
To me this is one of her best plug ins out there. it's intuitive and gives you everything you need to put some nice touches on your mix. i can't imagine what i could do with this plug if i had a set of mastering ears.
I would describe the BX Masterdesk as smooth, intuitively easy-to-use, and immediately producing noticeable, desired results.
We can each get to finish line using so many tools and combinations these days.
For me, the Masterdesk is one of the plugins I depend on most regularly and get immediately enjoyment using. As other users have noted, no matter how good you think your mix already is, adding this to the mix bus will make your mix sound even better in a matter of seconds.
My favorite parts are bumping the treble and presence ever so slightly and playing with the width feature. Really a fantastic, fairly analog sounding plugin.
Easy to use. Never been more easy to dial in tonal balance of a mix. I don't really use all of its applications, but it's possible to get a quality master with this and a limiter. Having so many functions inside 1 plugin is cool
SCP's LUT-GREEN-LSZH is comparable to the Lutron* QS-CBL-LSZH. The SCP LUT-GREEN-LSZH is also a universal control system cable that can be used on various other Brand systems such as AMX and Crestron. Also can be used for systems control and instrumentation.
SCP carries a complete line of composite cables for use with Lutron*'s various lighting and shade control systems. These include composite data/communications cables and composite data/control cables which are available in PVC rated CM and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH/LSOH) for commercial, marine, and institutional applications. This cable consists of 2 conductors 22 AWG insulated stranded bare copper, twisted pair, shielded with overall AL foil- low capacitance plus a 2 conductor 18 AWG insulated stranded bare copper, twisted pair, unshielded, and a TC drain with an overall PVC jacket. The cable includes SCP Cable Labeling System with sequential foot/meter markings and room/zone/outlet designations for easy cable identification.

The BX-B31 is part of the Lynx family of meters which features more than 33 different inputs via Texmate's I-Series plug-in signal conditioning modules, including AC/DC Current, AC/DC Voltage, Process, Resistance, Strain-Gage, Temperature and many more! The BX-B31 is available with either AC or DC power and can be configured with optional set-point relay outputs.
I sincerely doubt it. This is one of those mixers where you dont over think it too much. Just dont over pay. Its not worth it. The sound is like an overdriven tape. It can go into full on dirt as well if thats your thing, but its tougher to control.
The main out has a switch to set output levels to -4dBm or -10dBm (corresponding to 0 on the output meter) and the RCA output is -10dBm. I guess that helps with running the mixer in the reds. Just in case anyone missed that.
The shop configured 2 additional calibrated image profiles in the TV. Check out the profiles section for the exact settings. One profile was added for bright and one profile for darker rooms. The dark profile clearly is my favorite, because it highlights everything that an OLED TV stands for; pitch black dark and vivid colors.
