It's not quite the only book about Enterprise Architect. I've seen one although it was in Japanese. There are also a number of books primarily about Process, that specifically use EA features and use EA for examples throughout.
Still, looking at your table of contents, it looks like there are some worthwhile tips there and I hope it continues to sell for you.

Hi,
I am author of the book. About 3,000 copies of the book were sold in Japan, but now it is out of print. (The ISBN of the book was 978-4434110177.)
I learned that printed books are not suitable for EA because the content is soon getting old. Now we (Sparx Japan) offer basic and simple usage guide (B5/32p) as PDF for free.

Indeed, printed media are not really suited for quicly evolving software like Enterprise Architect.
That's one of the main reasons I turned to Leanpub: updates are for free and they will be announced automatically to readers.
The other main reason is cost. Printing & shipping costs a lot of money. With digital media, that is no longer the case. This means I can offer the ebook for one third of the price of the printed book.

Here's another tip that I did not include in the book. It explains how to remove connector stereotypes of information items conveyed by the connector:

I've just published an update to the book (there was a figure missing in trick 47 - printing large diagrams, which is now fixed).
I am pondering the idea to add a bonus chapter to the e-book, including some tips that are available on my website. Do you think that would be a good idea?

Just received this message from an EA user who bought the book:
"Just reading this now (Kindle version). Ive been an EA user for 7+ years, and Im now keeping a tally of the tricks I didnt know: and there are lots! This is a great piece of work, and has been needed for a long time. Im just writing a Intro to EA course for a customer, and Ill certainly reference it. Well done!"

If there is some interest for that, I could do a bonus chapter on how to develop your own toolbox in EA. Please respond if you think that is a good idea.

I got no less than five mails with additional tricks and info, all from readers who have bought the e-version. I'll ask permission to include them in a new version, which will be offered as a free update.

I just published an update with an additional trick. Kind of surprised that lots of users don't know this, even people who have used EA for a long time.
It's about turning off the "(from <package>") in diagrams where you use elements from packages other than the one the diagram belongs to.

not really, it's just a question of some days, then it's available again. as far as i know the reason is the increased demand in the last time

@mrpmorris: you can consult a complete table of contents here: http://bit.ly/EATricks (there's a free to download sample chapter too).
I did not yet write about generating source code from EA, because I don't use EA for that. All the tricks I write about are from my own experience.
I am planning to write a separate chapter about how to develop your own toolbox in EA (which is an advanced subject).
Some of the tricks are really simple, but it's often the simple tricks that bring you lots of value. Of course, I steer away from really evident things like how to open the notes of an element.

Jos, thanks for the offer! I already got some reader feedback and incorporated that into the book. It is not my intention to write a second book, instead I'll just update this one. Extra tips are welcome.
By the way, I just released a new version of the book with an additional chapter. The first tip explains how to efficiently add multiple elements with common properties. When this chapter is finished, the book price will increase again (but updates stay free, so be sure to grab your copy today).

Second tip added to the second bonus chapter, about sorting lists with tagged values. Really useful if you have lots of elements in a model and you want to manage them efficiently.
Updates are still free for who already downloaded the book, but price will increase every now and then ("higher value, higher price"). http://bit.ly/EATricks [original message]

Just added tip 3 in the second bonus chapter, about how to easily export all data from the elements of a diagram to a spreadsheet application.
In the weekend, I'll start to write the third bonus chapter about how to make your own toolbox. Updates are free for who already bought the book, but the price will increase by $1 for new buyers.

Just released a new version of the book Fifty Enterprise Architect Tricks, with a third tip in bonus chapter 3.
Important note:
SparxSystems has decided to release version 10 of Enterprise Architect, with significant changes to the user interface and functionalities of EA. This means I will have to rework the book Fifty Enterprise Architect tricks.
On the other hand, I keep on getting requests for another book on Enterprise Architect. Requests for an easy to read, easy to bring into practice introduction for new users.
I have decided to write such a book. It is called "Teach Yourself Enterprise Architect in Ten Days". The first chapter (of 10) is ready. A preview including the introduction and the first chapter is available for free at the Leanpub website (https://leanpub.com/EA-in-10-days).
This does not mean I will let current readers of Fifty Enterprise Architect down:
I will by all means finish the third and final bonus chapter during the following weeks, before the release of the official version of Enterprise Architect
All readers of Fifty Enterprise Architect Tricks get a significant discount on the new book
When the new book is ready, I will start adapting Fifty Enterprise Architect Tricks to the new EA version

Just added tip number 4 to the third bonus chapter. It offers you four good reasons to add metatypes to your element definitions when you create your own toolbox. And of course, it tells you how to do that.
Free chapter available if you want to give it a look first.
The new tip is about creating autohiding connectors in your own toolbox.

Final trick on what MDG Technologies are and how to repair a seemingly lost MDG Technology.
Fifty Enterprise Architect Tricks now contains 80 tips and tricks. It was written for EA versions below 10.x. Since version 10.x brings lots of changes to EA, I will have to rework the book significantly.
Currently, I am busy writing another book on EA which is adapted to version 10.x. This book is more of a beginner's guide to EA. When I am finished writing this book called "Teach Yourself EA in Ten Days", I will concentrate on Fifty EA Tricks.

Chapter Five is released, with a discussion on the Big Five (Model, Package, Element, Connector and Diagram), plus with a discussion about the slideshow feature. The book is now 50% complete.
The price increases every time a new chapter is released, but updates stay free.
So you can benefit the low price now but still get the whole book once it is ready. Enjoy!
