Installation problems

I just installed EA to start a new project.  I am attempting to open a file sent by the team leader, but get the following error:

"An Error has occurred: Unrecognized database format".  I have installed MS Access and followed the instructions on

Nothing seems to get me past this error.

Posted this already to sup...@sparxsyistems.com.  Wonder if there's any community that can off help in the meantime.

Well, what has your teamleader sent you. That is the question! Try looking into it (assuming it's an .EAP) by opening it in MS Access. Check against the tables listed in my book (you can download the sample; see link below). If not: ask what the heck he sent you.

If the tables seem ok: try switching the Jet format in EA's options.
