Migrate/export document report templates?

Hi,

After having spent an evening at home tinkering with a document report template in a local repo, I'm now satisfied and want to transfer the template it from my local repo and add it to our production DB without having to rewrite the whole thing.

I cannot find any obvious way to accomplish that?

My attempt to scratch the itch (using v9.2.920). For moving single templates from one repository to another need to use RTF export. For batch moves can use XMI. (both are covered in the Sparx Help).

For RTF open the original template in the project you created it in (F8, templates, edit). Once it's open on the screen, right click on it, choose file/export and that will export it as an .rtf to a location of your choosing.

In your new project (different repository), create a blank template with the same name for convenience (F8, templates, new) and �choose "none" for copy template. Once that is open on the screen, right click on it, choose file/import and you'll be able to select the location of the .rtf you saved previously. Save the new template and you should be set.
