Game Recap - Dime City Week 2

1st HALF
First Drive (Defense):
0:30 Kickoff: Gad with good kick. Fursan first down the field, great covering by the team
0:50 (1st down) Run Play by Receiver: Hamza blew up the play. Omar Q tracking his receiver for the tackle.
1:01 (2nd down) Pass Play: Line did great flushing QB out of pocket. Omar Q it was unnecessary to go after the receiver like that. That was 15 yard penalty. (Its weird they didn’t give them an automatic first down).
1:10 Offside penalty: Good anticipation Boobie but you went ahead by just one second.
1:21 (3rd Down) Run Play: They re-ran the first play but gave it to RB instead. Nakib and line blew it up and I covered the edge.
1:40 (4th Down) Punt – Fursan and Omar need to communicate better.
First Drive (Offense):
1:52 (1st Down) Run Play – Only a few yards but it sets the tone. Shareef you did well to get to the second level but we need to hold that block.
2:01 (2nd Down) Pass Play – Sack from Left side. It’s a four man rush but #3 from D went around. Nakib and Adam blocked the same person leaving him with an open lane. We need to either call out the blocking or Chaz has got to wait until the defenders settlers.
2:10 (3rd Down) Pass Play – False Start / Fumble. Not sure what happened. We had planned a two count to catch them offsides but I don’t think our offense is yet ready for it.
2:20 (4th Down) Punt – Personal Foul Penalty 15 yards.
2:32 (1st Down) Run – 4 man rush. Adam did great push his man out the way and it also blocked the DE. Tmac helped create the hole by pushing the other DT the other way. Islam did amazing to avoid the first LB and beautiful blocks by Shareef and Shadi helped seal the edge. D #43 caught Islam from an angle. He was playing LB.
2:45 (1st Down) Pass (#1 – Slants) – Line held their blocks and Chaz checked it down properly. Omar has got to make that catch.
3:04 (2nd Down) Pass (#5 Screen/TE Post) – It was there. You got put more air under it Chaz. There was a lot of room to work with. Great read though. You looked off the defense and ran it perfectly. That play will be there in the future.
3:14 (3rd Down) Pass – Fumbled snap.
3:20 (4th Down) Pass (#6 Bunch Right) – INTERCEPTION. The first read should be to Shadi on the right. This play is designed so that Islam takes the defender and Safety away. Regardless it was fourth down. We took our shot.
Honestly this drive is very promising for me. We moved the ball and put ourselves in good position. Next week we need to score on our first drive to set the tone.
Second Drive (Defense):
3:30 (1st Down) – False Start on their Offense
3:38 (1st Down) – Offside penalty on us.
3:48 (2nd Down) – Run play. Blown up once again by Hamza. Omar Q kept going after his player. Good defense all around.
3:58 (3rd Down) – Pass Play. Well covered. Shadi came up to help. Should have had an interception.
4:20 (4th Down) – Punt. Good overall blocking. We need to continue blocking or run with the returner to set another block. Most of us (me included) make the first block and stop to watch the play.
Second Drive (Offense):
4:37 (1st Down) – Run. Good fast running Omar. If you made the LB miss you would have had a ton of room to work with. Five yards.
4:45 (2nd Down) – Run (Toss Right) – We rushed to the line and we were not ready. Fursan and Nakib needed to hold the block.
4:52 (3rd Down) – Pass (WR Spread) – PENALTY, holding on Fursan. I don’t blame you he is huge. Re-do play. Good pass chaz.
5:03 (3rd Down) – Screen Middle – INTERCEPTION for TD. Bad drop by Islam. They were only rushing 3 so maybe we had more room to work with. But the LB read the play. And was ready for it.
Extra Point (Defense):
5:20 – That play just shouldn’t happen. Bat it away.
Kickoff return (Offense):
5:30 – TOUCHDOWN What a cut there, Unbelievable! Great play, great blocking.
NOTE: Omar, the flag was unnecessary. They were going to get one last kickoff to end the half. Why give them 15 yards? Thats inexplicable and simply retarded. Nothing came out of it but it is stupid stuff like that if they come at a bad time they can cost us game. That should never be done. EVER.
5:50 – Play Action Pass to Gadalla. Great read Chaz and great catch. Two points to tie the GAME. Hamza Sammak is lined up as a lineman here. He can’t go out for a catch. That’s actually ineligible man down the field.
Extra Point (Defense):
6:09 – Kickoff. I should have had that tackle. Islam did great to track him down
2ND HALF
Third Drive (Offense):
6:25 – Just One of those kicks.
6:35 – (1st Down). Pass. (#4 Back Shoulders). This needs to be a quick pass because there are only three options. We shouldn’t get a sack when 6 people are blocking. The middle of the field seemed open.
6:55 (2nd Down) Pass. (#12 WR Spread). PENALTY. Chaz had the right idea to go after Shadi but the LB tried to take him out. It was a late blitz by the LB too.
7: 10 (1st Down) Run. – They saw this coming a mile away. Chaz, maybe we could have called an audible. They stacked the box. Shareef and Nakib let their blocks slip right through.
7:20 (2nd Down) Run. (Toss Right). The play was run well. But Nakib or Fursan needed to get to the second level to set the block. That would have sprung Islam
7:30 (3rd Down) Pass (#3 – Curl / Slot Out) – Chaz had the right Idea as there was a lot of room to work with. Slightly overthrown. We need shorter quicker routes. That took too long to develop. Great blocking by the line.
7:40 (4th Down) – Punt
Third Drive (Defense):
7:55 (1st Down) – SACK. Great play by the line. I think it was Boobie who got it. Great job.
8:05 (2nd Down) – SACK. AMAZING job by the line. Hamza officialy getting the stat. HOW DID WE LOSE THIS GAME?
8:15 (3rd Down) – Pass. Dump off. Good coverage.
8:25 (4th Down) – Punt. Islam dropped it while moving back. This gave us bad field positioning.
Fourth Drive (Offense):
8:34 (1st Down) – Pass COMPLETE. (#1 Slants). Great Throw by Chaz and play by Fursan. The quick routes were not there and Fursan ran his delay route perfectly. If he doesn’t trip by could’ve taken it to the house.
8:50 (2nd Down) – Pass COMPLETE. (#7 – PA with Strong Formation) Great anticipation Chaz to avoid rush and sack. Rolling out and finding Shadi. This play looks REALY good. As long as our protection holds, the traffic from this condensed formation created a lot of space. It seemed like everyone was open. On a side note, why is Hamza playing offense? As the TE you have to defend the edge rusher. He defends the inside rusher which Shareef sort of switched to block. If Chaz does not avoid him, this play would have been blown up.
9:00 (1st Down) – Pass. Blocking unfortunately breaks down here from the beginning. Hamza as the TE needs to push his blocker outside to create the pocket. Instead he allows him to go inside. Chaz should have automatically dumped it off to Islam, he was open.
9:08 (2nd Down) – Pass. This is why sacks are so bad. They suck so much life out of the offense. We were slow to get to the line and we lost 5 yards.
9:11 (3rd Down) – Pass (#12 Deep Impact). Shadi should have kept going. They defended it well.
9:23 (4th Down) – Punt They returned it all the way to forty. Too many missed takles. Cleaned up by Fursan.
Fourth Drive (Defense):
9:46 (1st Down) – Pass. COMPLETE. Screen to the right. Great tackle by Gadalla. If you look at this play, they ran it to perfection. Look at how their entire line runs upfield.
9:58 (2ND Down) – PENALTY. False start on their offense.
10:08 (2ND Down) – PENALTY. They had a good screen play too. Unsportsmanlike on their bench. 15 YARDS.
10:18 (3rd Down) – Deep ball. INCOMPLETE. Great pass defense all around including Gadalla. Here is where the injuries start. Omar Q goes down. Hamza Sammak rushed the QB here very well.
10:35 (4th Down) – PUNT. The communication wasn’t there unforunatley.
Fifth Drive (Offense):
10:50 (1st Down) – Run (Toss Right). Islam ran this perfectly. He just caught up to you. SHADI as yellow receiver needs to lineup as TE in this play. There was no LEFT TE because Nakib and Fursan are to the right on this formation. This was almost a 20 yard run.
11:04 (2nd Down) – (#8 – PA Cross.) Honestly this play is on me. I had the red route. Although it is designed for ten yards In route, I should have cut in at around 5 yards because the middle of the field was open and Chaz had time. This play is definitely there because Arkan and Shadi are there to block. If we practice it should be there in the future.
11:14 (3rd Down) – (#3 – Curl/Slot Out). Not sure how the lineman got through so easily but he created the intial pressure to blow this play up.
11:24 (4th Down) – Punt. Good job shadi.
Fifth Drive (Defense):
11:30 (1st Down) – Pass. Quick short route. We’ll take it.
11:40 (2nd Down) – Pass. QB flushed out. 5 yards. We’ll take it.
11:50 (3rd Down) – Pass. The SCREAM heard around the world. Subhanallah. Allah yeshfeek Shadi. It hurt to watch this play. Great defense though if that means anything.
12:04 (4th Down) – Punt. Ok run. Fursan ran right into defenders. No hole on the left side.
Sixth Drive (Offense):
12:29 (1st Down) – I don’t remember the play call on this play? Hamza was not sure what to lineup as and Gadalla was the yellow receiver so he should have been on the line as Left TE in this play. At least it wasn’t a sack. Why was Hamza in and nakib out?
12:39(2nd Down) – Pass. (#13 deep Impact). Chaz tried to step up in the pocket but it collapsed. Nakib you gotta stay on your man.
12:47 (2nd Down) – Pass. PENALTY. What was the penalty? Did we lose a down? I think it was on Fursan.
12:53 (3rd Down) – Pass. (#13 deep Impact). There was a lot of room to work with.
13:13 (4th Down) – Punt. And this is why we don’t punt in JAMS.
Sixth Drive (Defense):
13:05 (1st Down) – Pass. Their QB is flushed out by Tmac. All-star play by Islam to track him down.
13:29 (2nd Down) – Pass. Fursan tried to defend him but couldn’t get there. Arkan the new safety cleans up. #42 killed us in this game. He scored all their offensive points.
13:41 (1st Down) – Pass. Screen. Islam breaks it up perfectly.
13:51 (2nd Down) – Pass. GREAT RUSH BY THE LINE. All four were in on it.
13:59 (3rd Down) – Pass. GREAT RUSH AGAIN. All four were in on it. Great push Boobie!
14:10 (4th Down) – Pass. We got lucky he dropped it. It wouldv’e been a turnover though because the one yard line was the first.
Seventh Drive (Offense):
14:20 (1st Down) – Pass. There was a lot of traffic but omar should have come up with it.
14:30 (2nd Down) – Pass. (Hook and Ladder). It was there. Chaz has to make that throw even though the DE closed in quickly. He put a spin move on nakib.
14:40 (3rd Down) – INTERCEPTION. (#12 WR Spread). Not sure what exactly happened. Its not clear on the tape. It seems Omar slowed down and Chaz threw it anticipating he would be there. You can tell Omar is hurt. This is the play where he dies on the ground with cramps.
Seventh Drive (Defense):
14:55 (1st Down) – Pass… Hail Marry... TD… Game Ends…
