Ahmad, email as promised:Mustafa has been playing safety this year and he's all over the field back there. If Ahmad Fayoumi is a safety thats the deep side you want to attack, not mustafas side. Medo is the more physical corner, he will jam shadi at the line every play, I would suggest having shadi start a yard or 2 behind the LOS to give him some space to beat the jam - he wasnt very good getting off the Jam last season on the line. The corner stay pretty discipline in the zone.I think the most effective plays against their D are the following 2 concepts.1. With a twins approach on either or both sides. Send the inner receiver to the flat on either a bubble or 5-7 yard out, and the outer receiver on a 10-15 yard back shoulder/curl route. Youre basically making the CB choose if he should cover the long man or the short out. Have Omar or fursan run the out, get the 5-7 yards and hopefully they break a tackle or juke them for a big gain. Union is smart in their D because Mus plays safety on the side of the weaker CB, so if he goes for the short man there's a good chance Mus gets over to break up the throw if it hangs up at all. But get it to Omar or Fursan relatively quick and have the TE fire out and block the OLB. They pursuit very quickly - make it a one-on-one with Omar/Fursan and the CB.2. Dual crosses over the middle. We had success on slants and crosses with Jay moving from left to right on them. Send a shallow cross or hook with the TE 5 yards deep in front of the LBs, and a WR on a shallow slant or crossing pattern 10-12 yards deep - behind the LBs. I would send one man deep to Mustafas side to keep him deep so he cant make a play on the ball. That should be there. On offense, theyve been practicing their run blocking a lot more, so look for them to try and run more. The DTs should not rush too far upfield, or at least maintain their lanes - try and collapse the pocket. If there's a seam rajab will run up the middle. Keep the safety over the top paying attention to mustafa. Rajab just throws it up to him from time to time, whether he has time or not. Shadi needs to watch out for that. When rajab throws long to the other WRs he really needs to set his feet to make a more accurate throw. So get after him, make him try and work the intermediate routes. He is basically a 50% passer - so you want him to throw - just not to mustafa over the top.Islam, take care of the football. The deep ball you threw to Omar last week wont be a completion this week against the Union. Try and take some air out from under it, or do that to the left side to Afays side. Dont throw that to mustafas side. If you dont turn the ball over, you guys can win. We double teamed Dom with a TE or RB along with the RG every snap and I had time to throw. The blitzed with Rajab up the middle a couple of times - after the 1st time our RB picked it up the other times they tried it.Good luck--To err is human, you're better than that. Isiah Thomas isnt.
