I installed gpu-screen-recorder yesterday, along with gtk version from the aur repository, but whatever audio source I add it doesn't capture any sound. I use Nvidia GTX 1650 Super with proprietary drivers. Is this fault of the gpu?
Each audio is in its own audio track in the video, which is why you dont hear the other audio inputs unless you switch to them. gpu screen recorder gtk has been updated now to have an option (that is enabled by default) to only use 1 audio track.
There is now also an option to select the "default output", so you dont have to know the name of the audio device that you are using.
Record your screen, create webcam videos, and add effects directly in Microsoft 365 with your work or school account! The Stream screen recorder is great for explainer videos, product demos, or quick webcam videos without leaving M365. You can add inking, stickers, images, music, text, replace your background, and record multiple clips.
Although not packaged for openSUSE, Vokoscreen was highly recommended by a member of my local Linux UG. Its source is posted on github and the install requirements look to be easily provided by the OSS
You can also try reducing the frame rate for you capture.
Rule of thumbs are
29fps will almost always guarantee seamless, jitter-free video but can require substantial resources if there is a lot of detail
24fps is on the edge of when you might not have jitter-free video
Decrease your screen resolution so less data needs to be captured and encoded.
If you have multiple machines, you can encode on a machine different than the capturing.
Decrease your audio capture quality as much as possible. In fact at my local Linux UG presentation, audio was captured on a separate, dedicated device and was used as a replacement track for the one captured by the computer.

I'm new to Replay so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I've watched the beginning tutorials and cannot get it to work as described in the video. I move the screen cast around what I want to record but it either records nothing (just a black screen) or half of what is within that recording window or sometimes onto other screens beyond the recording window. I am beyond frustrated. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
