Hi Sparksters,

So I spoke (via gchat, since my voice is nowhere to be found...) with Bowser about this earlier, but we thought it would be best to send out an email to all of you.  Shanna sent me an email earlier saying that the Idea Lab typically only accepts individuals or groups of 2.  They met with their board and decided to maintain that standard in our case, but encouraged us to apply anyway with 2 representatives from our project.  We are going to move forward with the application as we had planned, except only include bios in Question 2 for the two people we decide will represent Spark in the lab.  We will disclose that there are 4 members of this team and include all of our resumes, since part of what makes us a strong group is our diverse backgrounds.

Now, it's my understanding that Dave is super busy and would not mind taking a back seat in this case.  I personally feel that it's important for Bowser to be a part of the lab...she has made it very clear that she is committed to the project and has time in her schedule to participate in the lab.  So Berger, that leaves the 2 of us!  What does everyone think is a fair way to decide?  Bowser sent me this link...there's a coin flip page!  http://www.facade.com/runes/

I would not be upset or offended if Berger feels strongly that she wants to do the lab, but I would also understand if she feels too overwhelmed with her academic schedule.  We just need to come up with a decision by midnight tomorrow.

Kisses and DayQuil,
Rachel

I want you to write every email I read.  You are always so succinct.

When I'm on DayQuil/NightQuil I referred to myself and "Q-ing". i.e. "Don't believe anything I say today, I'm Q-ing"

Cheers,
Jessica

Y'ello!

So they actually will not even allow more than 2 of us to participate? That seems kinda lame on their part, I mean it's not like we have 9 people or anything, haha. It doesn't matter to me, I have the time to do it, but I don't want to be the reason Mighty Hite doesn't! If we are chosen, could we maybe meet with their board and ask them again?
Cheers from the big apple!

yo yo,

I talked with Bowser and I am totally overloaded this semester. I just dropped a class to make sure I don't end up failing like a bumm. Internship interview prep has me busin' my butt non-stop. I'm taking my name out of the running to conserve a little space in my head for sanity.

Shana, from Idea Lab, asked if I would be willing to be a consultant to all the Idea Lab teams. If I end up doing it, I would show my face at half the Saturday meetings, so I may still be able to be involved in a more formal level.

I want to make sure everyone else does have the time to devote to this. Spark is an amazing idea, i just don't want it to be the straw that breaks anyone's back.

Anywho, hopefully I will see B & H this weekend. R, have a blast in the city!
