Gentleman:

May be this is not the right place to ask this but searching the web, some GitHub repositories and etc one of this search results drove me to a message from this group where there was some discussion about AirSpy HF+ (basically the same Discovery) x SoapySDR x low audio or low baseband levels.

Do SparkSDR uses SoapySDR as a part of it? If positive, this low level issue exists?

Hi Marcus,
in normal use Spark does not use soapysdr for the airspy radios. You maybe able to make it use soapy by disabling the airspy driver and enabling soapy. I don't remember any issues and don't have a radio to test with.
Hope that helps.

Hi Alan:

It helped for sure. I thought that SparkSDR uses Soapy "core" as the driver for any hardware and this issue with AirSpy Discovery / HF+ was addressed in some way (changing parameters in Soapy before compilinhg or something like that).

I opened a ticket under Pothos\SoapySDR on GitHub but reading the ticket answers seems that the project has stopped a couple of years ago.

Anyway, I was trying to figure how to solve this Soapy issue because I'm using (I'm an end user, not programmer) Alex VE3NEA's SkyRoof app, a satellite tracking program that include several add-ons such as doppler compensation, rotor controller, CAT interface and ... built in SDR + waterfall ... to operate full duplex; the SDR part is the Soapy modules. Works ok with RTL-SDR but vy low gain on AirSpy.

Thanks for the support.
