Nginx module can not run in IDE. It should be compiled into Nginx.

but not being able to configure eclipse cdt  to run even simple nginx module byj ust clicking on run button

The same nginx module written using text editors(Sub Lime) runs from terminal but not from IDE

I haven't seen Nginx, built with an IDE but am sure it can be done.

I have not tried to compile Nginx module with IDE. I always compiled them under Linux shell.

There is a very simple tutorial about Nginx module development in https://github.com/nihuo/Nginx-Module-Development-Tutorial.

Create new "File->New->Makefile Project with Existing Code"
Then "File->New->Convert to a C/C++ Autotools Project"

Follow the wizard.

After that in project properties you can see additional tree "Autotools" and can setup your configure options.
Right click on your project in "Project Explorer" and select "Reconfigure Project".
Aftre successfull configure operation "Refresh" your project.
For build nginx go to "Project -> Make Target -> build"  and select build mode.
