Delegate Methods?

wondering: does anyone use those delegate methods? If so, what for?

I use all of them except for the compareVersion: one, which I also
used until I fixed the version comparison function in [106].

They're used to submit additional data and to provide arguments to the
serverside php script which determines which appcast is served to the
client.

Thanks for letting me know. Just out of curiosity, what kind of
additional information do you send along?

I'm also not sure I like the idea of providing arguments to the PHP
script that are unrelated to profiling through those delegate methods.
That could use some more design. I'll think about it.

I'd like to think I have a pretty textbook perfect example of "extra
profile info." In MarsEdit, I tack on the list of blogging system APIs
that the user has configured. So I can collect statistics on the
popularity of the various systems that people are using MarsEdit with.

I track what email client LicenseKeeper customers use. This helps me
determine what applications to support for email importing and serial
number scanning.
