Issue 20: Checks for update no matter what for first time users

New issue report by andykim78:
When an outdated application with SparklePlus runs for the first time,
you get the dialog asking if you want to check updates in the future.
But before I can click yes or no, it goes and checks for an update
anyway, popping up the update dialog window in the background.

If you agree this is a problem, I'll gladly submit a patch to modify
the behavior.
